Beatles HELP - UK Pressing Mono 1965 PMC 1267 - Play tested for an accurate grading.
Key Features:
- Matrix: Side 1: XEX 549 2 ; Side 2: XEX 550 2.
- Labels: Very Clean, spindle marks to side 2 only
- Sleeve: by Garrod & Lofthouse. front laminated cover.
- Tax Code: KT side 2 - Possibly? hard to see but may or may not be there?
- Inner: EMITEX Polythene-lined die-cut inner sleeve.
- Stampers: Side A RAL Side B RAG
Visual Grade: VERY GOOD PLUS!
In good natural light the record exhibits a glossy and clean appearance with very fine marks from extracting to and from the sleeve, these do not affect audio.
Audio Grade: VG+!
It sounds fantastic, great channel separation, crisp vocals and punchy bass from the famous deep-cut early Parlophone pressings. The record lead-ins are nice and quiet - always a good barometer for the play condition of a record - with no hiss Just a little fuzz with little-to-no crackle audible. The playback continues in the same vein throughout with no issues to report that distract from the listening experience. Of course there are absolutely no skips or sticks with this grade. A superb listening experience and centre-piece to any collection.
Sleeve: EX!
The laminate front retain its original glossy sheen with no sign of ring wear although a couple of creases although sleeve not mishapen. The matte card back shows very minimal light discolouration. Good readable spine
Inner Sleeve: EMITEX - VG although shows discoluration due to age/sunlight
