'MT' Tax Code
Firstly a bit of history of the album.....HELP was the BEATLES' 5th album coming out on the 6th August 1965. The premier of the album was played in London on the 29th July. Once again reaching the top spot in all record magazines of that era...as they had done with the previous four albums!
Catalogue number: PMC 1255
Matrix Number Side 1: XEX 549-2
Matrix Number Side 2: XEX 550-2
Mothers/Stampers Side 1: RRM@ 3 O'clock 710 (quite unusual with an MT tax code?!?) at 9 O'clock
Mothers/Stampers Side 2: RGH @ 3 O'clock 3 at 9 O'clock
Vinyl: VG++. I grade this as such due to a few light marks to both sides. After playing over these visible areas I found nothing just a light click between track 5 and into track 6 on side 1.Playback still sounds great!.. It would benefit from a little clean to get rid of the dust in the grooves, but still nice and quiet inbetween tracks as well as the run in.
Still has the glorious sheen and is lovely and flat.
Labels: EX. Lovely and clear. There are a handful of incredibly light spindle marks-visible when angled to the light.
"MT" tax code, nice and bold to side two...This is interesting as this tax code was only used between the 1st of Jan 1963 through to the 1st of July 1963....The raised tax code isn't even rubbed-one of the best "MT" tax codes i have seen.
Outer text "The Gramophone co.LTD" it DOES have the "Sold in the uk.." text.
Really nice-barely any hole wear and no writing or scratches etc.
Cover: VG+. Still lovely and white. There are a light knocks to the corners, some spidering fingers eminating from the spine and 3-4 crescent lamination wrinkles near the opening. Some feathering to the bottom right corner. Apart from that, she really is in pretty good condition- The Garrod and Lofthouse flipbacks are in great shape, the card to the back is still white.
NO writing, Splits or Tears!
Excellent clear and STRONG spine.
Inner: EX. condition NO SPLITS to the sides, just one small tear of 2cm to the plastic holed centre. It is the original 'Use Emitex' inner in simply FAB condition.

A note on grading: 'Mint' means I have just stepped out of the record shop in the 60's, never opened the record and kept it in fantastic dry and warm condtitons...unlikely isn't it!!
I am selling a lot more Beatles records and will give discounts on postage for more than 1 purchase.
