U.S. 45 with Picture Sleeve

Cicadelic Records - 1990

A 33 1/3 rpm 7" single in a paper sleeve. The interview was originally recorded on location from Bermuda during the filming of the movie HELP!. Announcer's questions in this recorded interview have been replaced with a silent groove. The enclosed script is to be read by a disc jockey, to simulate a "live" interview with The Beatles. Interview on side 1 is repeated on side 2.

In May 1965, the following interview was conducted with the Beatles to promote their second feature film entitled, 'Help!' The Beatles were in the process of completing post-production work on the movie at Twickenham Studios during this time.

Copies of the recorded interview were later sent to radio stations. It was created to be an 'Open-end' interview -- meaning that once the interview was recorded, the questions were edited out so that local disc jockeys could read scripted questions along with the recording to sound as if they were personally conducting the interview.

This auction is for the Cicadelic Records 45 “Help! Open End Interview ‘65” which was released in conjunction with the 1990 release of the 3rd edition of The Beatles Price Guide for American Collectors by Perry Cox and Joe Lindsay. The record and picture sleeve are in Near Mint condition.
