1969 UK 3RD *STEREO* PRESSING LP
**WITHOUT 'SOLD IN UK..' LABEL TEXT**
*SOLID 'STEREO' COVER LOGO*
The final incarnation of this iconic label was available for just a few months in late 1969 before the switch to the black and silver 'One EMI Box' design.
These late variants were noteable for the omission of the 'Sold in U.K...' label text which was removed from all EMI product from August 1969.
This rare LP is housed in a rare variant cover with the small solid 'stereo' logo which was briefly available around this time.
This rare stereo third pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3071
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
There is no tax/price code visible on either label.
Housed in a front laminated, flipback Garrod & Lofthouse cover with 'solid' stereo logo on the front.
Complete with red and white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 168-1 & YEX 169-1
Stamper numbers: 3/PR & 3/PL
Slight 'bag rash' visible on a small area.
Visual: EXCELLENT MINUSThe surfaces are clean and bright bearing just a few light 'fingernail' scuffs on side one and some light sleeve removal lines but no deep marks or scratches.
100% flat on the turntable without any dishing or warping.
Crisp and clear sound with no groovewear distortion in either channel.
There is the occaisional low level soft 'tick' between some tracks but no crackle, hiss, clicks, pops, jumps or repeats anywhere.
Clean example with moderate handling and storagewear but no major faults.
The front panel bears some creases to the spine and some edgewear and the rear panel shows some slight discolouration but no marks or writing.
The spine is clean and readable and all seams and 'flipbacks' are intact and undamaged.
