1969 UK 2nd PRESS *MONO* LP
**ULTRA-RARE PRESSING**
Released in October 1969, only a few hundred copies of this rare mono issue were pressed with this label.
It is the hardest of the '1 EMI Box' mono trio to locate - in any condition.
This ultra-rare 1969 UK MONO pressing is on the black & silver '1 EMI Box' label: PMC 1255
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
There is no tax/price code visible on either label.
Housed in its correct thiner card, front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover without a front mono logo.
Complete with its original white 'Patents..' inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper numbers: 9/MDT & 1,8/ATM
Visual: VERY GOOD PLUS
Clean & glossy surfaces which bear just an occaisional light mark in strong daylight but no significant wear or scratches.
Close in spection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals numberous light paper hiarlines but major visible faults
Audio: EXCELLENT
The sound throughout is clean & clear with no background crackle or any groovewear distortion.
Apart from an occaisional soft tick on some bands, there are no significant or major audible faults.
Cover: VERY GOOD
A respectable example of this rare cover which bears a clean, white and unyellowed front front panel.
There are some spine and small 'thumbnail' creases but no other significant wear.
The lower corners have minor shelfwear but both opening edges have no tears or 'feathering'.
The rear panel has minor handling wear & two small written names in the upper right corner.
All flipbacks, both seams and the spine are all unsplit and in place.
This disc has been carefully audibly graded in its entirety on a Rega P9 deck fitted with a Shelter 901 cartridge.
