Ladies and gentlemen, this is the motherload of all US "mass" produced Beatles LP. This is the rarest mass-produced US Beatles LP of all time. This is Introducing the Beatles, version 1 true Stereo, Vee Jay SR 1062, guaranteed authentic or double your money back. "Mass" is in quotation marks because it is very unlikely many of these were actually pressed.  However, Goldmine does include it in it's price guide. 

             Vee Jay was a very small label and in 1964, few fans of rock music had stereo equipment.  Indeed, in England many rock bands did not release music in true stereo at all.  The Beatles were an exception.  Vee Jay had great difficulty producing stereo records, but they did produce a few.  All of there Beatles Vee Jay stereo records are quite rare.  All have been bootlegged, some many times over.  This, however, is the real thing. 

         There are several guarantees of authenticity of note.  The record label on the disc clearly reads STEREO on both sides, and no such discs have ever been found to be counterfeit.  The record also plays in true stereo, except for "Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You" which do not exist in that form.  No counterfeit record plays true stereo, and most do not have "Love Me Do."  The record jacket has several signs of authenticity.  The tint is not bright yellow.  There is a clear shadow to the right of George.  The picture is clear.  The back of the jacket lists the songs on the back, but there are no scuff marks on any of the song titles,all of the printing is there, specifically "Taste of Honey" which has chipped letters on literally thousands of counterfeits.  The inside flap on the jacket is present but not wide.  My photos will attest to these facts. 

          Unfortunately, although this record is a great find for any Beatlemaniac, it could be in better shape.  The jacket is fairly worn.  I would say about VG at best.  The record has some scuff marks to be sure, but it was cleaned (professionally), and after play testing, although there were hisses and pops to be sure, the record did not skip or repeat at all, easily earning at least VG if not VG+.  For the few reading this who are unfamiliar with the track listing, it is as follows:
