Description
I am thinning out my vinyl collection and have listed a good number of SOLO BEATLES 12-INCH PROMO RECORDS, so please check out all of my other auctions for something that interests you.
IN THIS AUCTION:
· “IMAGINE” b/w “COME TOGETHER” by John Lennon
· These were/are never before heard LIVE versions of these 2 songs which were recorded live/on-stage at the Madison Square Garden Concert in 1972.
· This is Capitol Records SPRO-9585/6.
· This record was issued in January, 1986.
· This PROMO 12-INCH SINGLE RECORD was issued to promote the Capitol Records LP “JOHN LENNON LIVE IN NEW YORK CITY”.
· The Labels of this PROMOTIONAL RECORD have “NOT FOR SALE” printed on them.
· As you know, PROMO RECORDS are particularly hard-to-find these days, because they were ONLY released to radio stations/DJs for airplay to promote the LP and artists.
· The VINYL IS NEAR MINT!!!
· The vinyl comes in a plain white die-cut cover with title sticker and information about the historic concert on the evening of August 30, 1972 at New York’s Madison Square Garden. This concert was John Lennon’s first live performance since the breakup of the Beatles. Please read the cover sticker for further info.
· The COVER IS IN STRONG VG+ CONDITION. Only a few light creases keep me from grading the cover NEAR MINT. (Based on purchasing experience on Ebay, many sellers would automatically grade the cover as NM.)
· Thanks to Perry Cox’s Price Guide for the Beatles American Records for information about this LP.
· This is a REALLY NICE John Lennon PROMO RECORD to add to YOUR vinyl collection!
FYI: I use Goldmine Grading Standards (G for Good, VG for Very Good, VG+ for Very Good Plus, NM for Near Mint, M for Mint) to VISUALLY grade the CDs, LPs and 45s I auction, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding. And please check my other auctions for other items you may want to add to your collection. Be high bidder on several and combine shipping! Winning bidder must remit payment within 7 days of auction close by PayPal. Add $4.00 for shipping to an address in the lower 48 U.S. states via media mail with tracking. (Postage is more to Alaska and US islands.)
