Description
Complete & original 1st UK press box set of The Beatles - Let It Be, from 8th May 1970. The 1st pressing of this album LP record can be identified by the 1st 2U/2U matrix endings in the runouts; a small ℗ publishing symbol on the labels; and a red Apple logo in the back of the LP sleeve. The 1st pressing was released as a box set that came with a 164-page 'Get Back' book; the vinyl album; plain 'patents pending' inner sleeve; red Apple logo sleeve; outer box slip case; tray; and inner tray that held the book. Some box sets also contained a foldout promotional poster for other Apple releases.

Vinyl condition:
Beautiful condition! It's hard to find a 1st press -2U/-2U matrix disc in NEAR MINT condition like this. Visually it is super glossy and clean, side 1 has no marks or wear visible in both good natural light and under direct strong halogen spotlight. Side 2 shows one inaudible mark that does not sound. The audio playback is faultless. Very quite run-ins to both sides, very quiet between tracks and in soft passages or quiet tracks like the title track 'Let It Be' which plays flawlessly. No background crackle, repeat clicks or loud pops throughout both sides - which have been play-graded in full. Obviously no skips or sticks. It's a great listen! The disc sits completely flat on the turntable and does not have any warping or dishing. The labels are clean and unworn with only a couple of spindle markings showing very little play.
Record sleeve condition:
The red apple 1st press sleeve is NEAR MINT condition. Glossy, clean front and back, sharp edges and spine without wear.Inner sleeve:
The original 'patents pending' white paper inner sleeve is NEAR MINT, without splitting.
The box main outer slipcase:
The box outer slipcase is EXCELLENT PLUS, very glossy and clean without fading, only light sign of handling, no tears, areas of wear, edge scuffing, or splitting. The colour, laminate gloss and edge sharpness are still present. Very nice!
The box slip tray:
The box slip tray is EXCELLENT, light signs of wear at the edges, no rips or heavy wear.
The box inner book holder:
The box inner book holder - the most delicate part of the set is in fantastic condition. No tears at the corner inners, fully intact EXCELLENT PLUS.
Apple promo poster:
The original Apple records mini-poster has colour-fading and a 2cm tear on the bottom edge.
Overall an exceptional condition, complete 1st UK pressing box set with rare promo poster, all original parts in great looking and top playing condition.
