A FEW ITEMS FROM MY A-LIST THIS WEEK, ALONG WITH MORE UNPLAYED ALBUMS FROM THE COLLECTION.

READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

Beatles LP 1968 White Album First Pressing Complete Excellent Vinyl A1590295

Vinyl--- Excellent, all four sides.  Not NM, but the blemishes are few and far between.  Good-looking set of records!

Plates--- J46/ J46, J47/ J44.  Scranton pressing.

Cover--- VG+. That’s a very strong grade for this cover, as collectors know.

1.  The cover is in remarkably clean condition.  It does have some very minor foxing, both sides, but almost no dirtwear!

2.  Inside gatefold has moderate foxing.  NO CENTER SEAM SPLITS.

3.  All pocket seams are muscular strong. Some minor bumps to corners. NO SEAM SPLITS.

4.  Spine is beautiful.  There looks to be a pinhole in the center, though.  See photo.

5.  Light record outdent on both sides, nothing serious at all.

With no doubt, one of the better covers for a first pressing I’ve ever owned, not NM.

Labels--- NM, all 4 labels.  With the exception of a whispered spindle mark on the side 4 label that you’re going to have to safari for, they all look 1968-brand new.

Poster--- Nice-looking poster.  Some wrinkling at the top, very few finger divots.  There are NO intersection splits, however, there is a quarter-inch split at one side.

First-run posters from 1968 contained the disclaimer at the bottom left, “Apple Records, Inc.” along with the copyright symbol, and the “Made in U.S.A.” circle.  Later posters dropped the disclaimer.  This is a first-run poster.

Four Photos--- All four photos are present and in very nice condition.  They all have a light amount of finger divots, but not creased.

First-run photos from 1968 contained the disclaimer at the bottom left, “Apple Records, Inc.” along with the copyright symbol, and the “Made in U.S.A.” circle.  Later photos dropped the disclaimer.  These are first-run photos.

Capitol Inner Sleeves--- Both original 1968 inner sleeves are present and in really nice condition.  Plain white sleeves have no die-cut holes for the labels to show through.  One sleeve has a one0inch center split at the bottom.  Otherwise, all the other seams are intact, not split.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: N/A.

If this copy is not your final upgrade, it will be hard-pressed to beat.  VG+ packaging, Excellent vinyl.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)

Check out my other auctions for more hard-to-find vinyl!
