READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

I recently took in a large collection of Beatles albums, which range in condition from a nice VG to EX.  They feature labels from first pressing Capitol to Apple through to the purple Capitol label.  I tossed out all the garbage, and will be selling these copies interspersed with my regular inventory for anyone who would like to have great play-copies, but who generally can’t afford the rarer variations for sale.

The vinyl is collectable on these, although the covers may be a bit dirty, and/or split.  Here’s one that’s a great, solid play copy.

Beatles LP 1968 Yesterday…and Today Apple with Capitol Logo, EX Vinyl!

If you still need to complete your Apple with Capitol logo run, this copy will make a great keeper!  Cover’s a little questionable…

Vinyl--- EX/EX.  Light manufacturer’s cloudiness on both sides.  A little patch of light and short hairlines on the first two tracks of Side 1.  Otherwise, both sides retain a good 95% original shine.

Plates--- B18/B18.  Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.

Cover--- VG-.  Front and back covers have light to moderate dirtwear.  Front cover has some foxing at the bottom right.  Back cover has light ringwear and a small tear at the bottom left corner.  Spine has a center split about 5 inches long. 

When you get a chance, you should replace the cover.  It’s not a particularly rare one.  But it will significantly increase the value with a disc in this condition.

Labels--- NM/NM.  Both labels look 1968-brand new.  NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG+. Generic white inner sleeve with die-cut hole for the labels to show is present.  Sleeve has moderately browned on both sides.  Moderate record outdent, both sides.  Some wrinkling and finger divots.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: 12

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
