READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles LP 1970 Hey Jude Apple in Shrink, Los Angeles Beautiful NM copy!

Yes, technically the first pressing was titled "The Beatles Again."  But most copies that you find of the retitled "Hey Jude" pressing will have the 1971 to 1975 labels with "Mfd. by Apple Records, Inc." at the bottom of the Side 1 label.  This copy has the disclaimer at the bottom of the Side 2 label, making this just the slightly rarer 1970 retitled pressing.  If you're still in need of the 1970 pressing, this is your keeper.

I don’t use the term, NM lightly.  The record has to look like if it’s been played, you can’t tell.  This one is gorgeous!

Vinyl--- NM/NM.  The only thing that could be considered a flaw is that on Side 2, there’s an extremely light line that is indiscernible whether it’s a manufacturer’s defect or an angel hair.  Apart from that, the vinyl looks like you just pulled the shrinkwrap off…except that it’s still on this copy.

Plates--- Z21/Z24.  Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.  Both sides also have the New York markings, “Bell Sound” and “sf,” which is mildly interesting.

Cover--- EX.  Top and bottom have very light shelfwear.  Original price sticker still affixed to the front cover.  No Gold Record Award emblem makes this an early cover of the “SW” prefix, which is the discounted code from the “SO” prefix. NO SPLIT SEAMS.

Breathe Holes--- There are two breathe holes on the front cover.  One is just below the price sticker, the other is due south on Ringo’s shin.

Labels--- NM/NM.  Both labels are bright green, clean as the day they were printed up.  Labels list the title as “Hey Jude,” as opposed to “The Beatles Again.”  NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG+.  Sleeve has yellowed, but there are NO SEAM SPLITS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: N/A

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
