PLEASE NOTE: I was contacted by enough of my regular customers who had mentioned that they preferred that my listings end on Saturday nights, rather than Sunday nights. Let’s try it.
Beatles LP Beatles’ Story First Pressing 1964 Stereo in Shrink NM!
Anything in stereo from 1964 is rare, since mono was outselling stereo, 3 to 1. What parent was going to spend the extra dollar for a half-narrated
This copy very nearly looks like it did when someone sat on their couch in 1964 and slit the shrinkwrap open upon return from their department store.
This copy has the sides in the 1/4, 2/3 configuration.
Vinyl--- NM store stock brand new-looking, all 4 sides.
Plates--- W5/ W3/ W3/ W5 Scranton pressing. “IAM” triangle on all four sides.
Cover--- Gorgeous. Top left corner has some missing shrink, which allowed a little dirt and some slight yellowing. And I mean a little. Small semi-circular less-than thumb-sized area of shrink missing at the mouth, which also allowed for a little yellowing. Other than those two areas, this cover is extremely nice! No breathe holes.
Gatefold has never been opened.
Labels--- NM perfect. NOT A SINGLE SPINDLE MARK AMONG ALL FOUR LABELS! They all look 1964-freaking new.
Capitol Inner Sleeve--- NM. Both blue Capitol inner sleeves are present. Bold colors and graphics, NO SEAM SPLITS.
RIAA: None.
This copy will make you curse quietly under your breath when you see it, as well as for years to come when you pull it out to admire that you have one in this condition. I know from experience.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Note: All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.
CAUTION! There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids. A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
