Description
"Jolly What! England's Greatest Recording Stars The Beatles & Frank Ifield on stage" VeeJay Records VJS 1085, 1964 STEREO pressing.
Cover is VG: Front with significant rubbing....seams with significant wear but none split. Backside has name and what looks like the original price sticker near top seam...also a very small cover tear approx (1/4 X 1/4 ") just above the "D" in Ifield. Also some off color staining along side spine (Please see pics). Dark purple background (not black like the knock offs). Writing on Spine.
Going to call disc visual G+ just to be safe....mostly plethora of surface scuffs and light surface scratches..wear on disc labels. Stereo at 12:00. Label variation VJ1085.SR2A according to Bruce Spize book "The Beatles Records on Vee-Jay" (1998).
Both sides play tested. Playback is solid VG clean with ..mainly background surface noise (no obnoxious pops/skips/needle jumps). All 4 Beatle Tracks play very well! Still a decent listen!
Last notes of interest: Vee-Jay pressed only 60,000 copies of this LP: 58,800 Mono and only 1,200 STEREO. Although in fairly rough shape...still a rare Beatle LP. Also interestingly, this was the only LP that The Beatles hit singles "From Me To You" and "Thank You Girl" were released on LP format.
Original VJ inner sleeve included.
