Some pretty hard-to-find, rarely seen items up this week.  Have a look at them all!

Beatles LP RARE, Complete Anthology PROMO BOX & SEALED VINYL LP!

Box---  Not ever having had a second promo kit for comparison, it is very difficult to assess any damage.  This box is made to look like a stack of Beatles LP’s, and so the albums in the graphics were older copies that had wear.  If you look very closely at the ringwear, you can clearly see the dot matrix of the printing, which tells you that the ringwear is not on the box, it’s on the album that was used for the covers.  However, you will be able to see that there are a few spots of ringwear that are actual.  Not much, though. 

Those of us who are the astute geeks will be able to look at the side of the box where the album spines are pictured, and be able to tell which spines are from reissues.  There are even a couple foreign pressings that were used in the photo.  The designer probably thought that nobody would know the difference.  I will leave all the fun to you!  (See photo.)

Box flips open from the bottom to reveal the inside graphics.  There is some dirt at the bottom center.  Both Velcro buttons have fallen off, sad-face emoji here.  The back of the box has the back cover of the “Let It Be” LP, naturally.  There is some moderate wear to the back, as well as some light scratches.  See photos.

                                              The Goodies:

1.     There is a press kit, which is pretty extensive.  The folder cover is wrinkled.  Has “The Beatles Anthology” printed on the front in the Anthology logo.  Inside the folder, there is a postcard printed by Apple, which has the front cover of the Anthology 1 set.  Nice conditioned postcard.

There are two separate press releases for Anthology 1.  The first one is dated, Sept. 11, 1995, the second one is dated, Dec. 6, 1995.

There is a two-page, front and back, confirmed track listing.  Each listing has a brief synopsis of what the track is.

There is a “Beatles Condensed Chronology,” which starts with Ringo’s birthday and ends with the premiere of the “Let It Be” film.  Each entry has a brief synopsis of that date’s significance.

There is a one-page sheet, describing the intentions of the cover art for Anthology 1.

Finally, there is a contact information sheet for those who are involved in promotions. 

All the documents in the folder have obviously been used.  There are finger divots on them all, which in my opinion, verifies that these have not been photocopied.  All have Anthology letterhead, and are printed on a heavier paper stock than office paper.

2.     There is a VHS tape, which is a “Sneak Preview” of the Anthology 1 video release.  Judging by the amount of tape on this cassette, I would guess that the sneak preview is no longer than one minute.  Comes in a slip case, which is in nice condition.  Slight wear.  The tape itself looks unplayed.

3.     There is a durable, thick 3-ring binder with Anthology graphics from all three installments.  Binder houses the folder and VHS cassette.  Beautiful condition.

4.    There are two Anthology flats.  I can’t tell for sure, but I think that one of them is for “Anthology 2,” and the other is for “Anthology 3.”

Not originally included with this press kit, but added as a wonderful bonus is a copy of “Anthology 1” on vinyl, still sealed! 

This copy is the British vinyl, sealed in the loose plastic, as opposed to the shrinkwrap the U.S. got.  Vinyl is presumed to be in mint condition.  Guaranteed original seal from 1995.  I received no less than three copies for Christmas that year, so you can have one.  Sealed LP is in stunning excellent shape!

This press kit is complete.  I’m very sorry that eBay only allows 12 photos.  I could not include photos of all of the contents, so I chose what I considered would be the most important items to show.

If you think your Beatles fan has everything, this may be the perfect gift to have under the tree come Christmas morning!
