READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can’t test-play at the minute. Beatles LP Yellow Submarine 1968 Apple First Pressing Plates A19/B22 Consignment, EX!

Beautiful Columbia-pressed first pressing. Compare the sound quality to Apple’s pressing and you’ll discover richer and deeper midranges than Apple. If you’re still missing a gorgeous true first Columbia consigned pressing, this one’s definitely your keeper.

Vinyl--- NM/EX. Side 1 looks unplayed, except for two very slight, very short angel hairs in the dead wax that weren’t there upon its release. Side 2 is in that same condition with just two tiny lines in the playing grooves that weren’t there at the factory.

Still 100% original gloss after coming up on 60 years.

Plates--- A19/B22. Not first-day issued, but certainly well within the first pressing. No Capitol insignias appear in the dead wax, because this copy was not pressed by Capitol.

Columbia’s plate numbering system from the late 60’s has their #53 on both sides in the dead wax.

Cover--- VG. Cover didn’t hold up as well as the vinyl did, but it’s still a good cover. Front and back covers have light to moderate whitewear and dirtwear. Front cover slick has bubbled a couple times on the left side. Top and bottom seams have moderate to heavy shelfwear. Top seam has a 2-inch split at the mouth. Spine has some crackling toward the bottom. See photos.

Labels--- EX/EX. Both labels are still 100% full gloss shiny. Deep dark green Side 1 label, bright white Side 2 label. Just a few light spindle marks per side.

Inner Sleeve--- EX. Generic white inner sleeve with no die-cut hole for the labels to show is present. Sleeve has just a light tint of yellowing, which is remarkable for a sleeve of this age. Light wrinkles that appear more as light waves. NO SEAM SPLITS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original inner sleeve en route.

One of the absolute best copies of the vinyl I’ve seen ever.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
