Here it is! The #1 Beatle collectable!!!
Third state cover I peeled myself over a period of several days and a total of 12 hours, back in the summer of 1991. This 3rd state butcher cover is the ultimate in Beatle collecting. This one is unique in the sence that I perfectly re-assembled the trunk cover on a plastic inner sleeve that holds the record. And it has the original paper sleeve. I can't say this is the only one this way, but it certainly is one of the few that has both covers. On the top right hand corner of the trunk cover you can see where someone picked off some paper to have a peek. The spine has a split but who cares. This is a masterpiece that never leaves it's plastic protective cover.
I wanted to do my part to bring back to life and restore a rare piece of art. To own and to care for a bit of history. After 14 years I am ready to pass it along, and any information about the peeling process to the winner. There is no writing or stains anywhere. The butcher cover is what it is.The photos tell the story of my success in the peeling process. Many have tried and failed to do it right as I have seen on Ebay. And as far as a second state cover goes. Who wants to look at the paste over? Not me!!! Please be serious with your bids. This was a labor of love to preserve a bit of rock and roll history. I don't know how many butcher's are left in the world. But few like this. I offer what many don't since I have a record player. I sat and listened to both sides. I can tell you both sides play like it was yesterday. NO SKIPS, only listening pleasure. The record and labels look great. Issued on 5-16-66.
