1967 UK **DEMONSTRATION RECORD** 45
This is a rare and 100% genuine 1967 DEMO of 'Lady Madonna'/'The Inner Light' is on the green & white Parlophone label: R 5675
Both labels have the British (Brit.) release date 13.3.68 below the centre hole and 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label.
N.B. This label is genuine and has not been stuck on. There is no label underneath.
Housed in a 1968 Parlophone company cover.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18438-3 & 7XCE 18439-2
Stamper numbers: 1/AT & 2/GT
Labels: EXCELLENT
Bright and clean with no marks present or removed or missing paper.
Visual: VERY GOOD MINUS
The surfaces are clean but show many light hairlines under a halogen desk lamp but no deep scratches.
Its most notable fault is two small (4mm & 6mm) indentations from the edge inwards.(see picture below)
Despie the fault the disc lies on the turntable without any dishing or warping.
Audio: VERY GOOD MINUS
My stylus set at 2.0 grammes plays through the indentations (albeit with some 'bumps') but without repeats or jumps on either side.
The fault affects the first 15 seconds of play and some light groovewear is also audible - but how often would you play it?
