Description:

The Vinyl

While the vinyl to both sides is overall quite nice, there are some very light, non-feelable surface "scuffs" evident, the result of, I'm sure, improper handling and storage. There are, however, no scratches, and both sides play through with no skipping or jumping. There is a fair bit of crackle to the run-ins and run-outs, with some crackle evident on the quieter tracks. This may lessen with a good cleaning. The sound is quite good otherwise, particularily on Side 2, but I can only grade the vinyl as VG+. This is perhaps a bit harsh, but I don't want to over-grade. Still perfectly playable, but not a "final copy" for a collector.

The Labels

The dark green Apple label for side 1 is Ex-, with no writing or damage other than some spindle hole wear, and a number of spider lines from spindle alignment. The white "cut apple" label on side 2 is much the same, again with a Ex- grade. Nice examples of these classic labels.

The Sleeve

The Garrod and Lofthouse laminated sleeve is in Ex- condition, with no writing, seam splits or fading. There is some minor corner wear, as well as a few minor laminate creases near the spine. The colors are vibrant and rich. The spine is good, with all lettering clear. The opening edge is sharp and straight. The back is clean, with only a barely visible disc impression. A very nice example of this classic sleeve. 

While not a final "Collector" copy, this is, all in all, a good first press UK Apple copy of this all important Red Apple, 2U - 2U Box Set component
