Beatles Magical Mystery Tour, MFSL 1-047, Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Half Speed Mastered, Gatefold Jacket with Original Inner Liner Protector and Rice Paper Sleeve
This LP recording is from my personal collection. I purchased this MFSL recording new. My record collection has always been played with a Shure SME tonearm using either a Shure V-15 cartridge, or a high-end Grado cartridge.
For this particular album, I have played this LP less than half a dozen times. The LP is in pristine condition, very clean pressing with no audible clicks or surface noise. This album is packaged in the typical MFSL way in a fine gatefold jacket with special inner protection liner and rice paper sleeve for the LP. The gatefold jacket and inner liner is in excellent to almost mint condition. The sound quality is superb off of this LP with exception of the last four tracks on side 2, which, through no fault of this vinyl pressing, was mastered from the 4th or 5th generation duophonic (not true stereo) master tape.
There is detailed information available on the internet about the history of this recording, and how the non-true-stereo release came to be.
Condition:
- Vinyl Grade: Near Mint to Mint. Wonderful MFSL pressing in truly pristine condition.
- Jacket Grade: Excellent, with some minor surface wear on front right edge, and on two corners.
- Inner Liner: Original protective liner and rice paper sleeve in perfect condition.
- Additional Inserts: None.
