1961 1st *GERMAN* PRESS 45
**RARE GERMAN INTRODUCTION**
This record contains the first ever appearance of The Beatles on a commercially available disc.
It is an extremely rare 1st pressing from October 1961 which plays the German introduction to the song 'My Bonnie'
On the orange with gold stars Polydor label: 24 673 with the label subtitle: 'Mein Hertz ist bei dir nur' (Rock)
Housed in its original orange and white Polydor company cover.
Matrix numbers: X 24 673-2 A & X 24 673-2 B
'Made in Germany' is machine stamped into both run-outs.
CONDITION DiscLabels: 1. EXCELLENT PLUS 2. EXCELLENT
An extremely clean and vibrant set with just a tiny speck of missing paper on 'The Saints' label in the 11 o'clock position and a light fingernail mark on 'My Bonnie' in the 7 o'clock position.
Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS
Both surfaces are pristine and totally unmarked in strong daylight, undulled by over-play or careless handling & storage.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just some wispy paper hairlines but no scuffs, marks or scratches whatsoever.
This high-quality German pressing which lies 100% flat on the turntable on both sides with no dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS
Recorded with care and quality by the great Bert Kaempfert, this rare disc boasts amazing sound quality with an outstanding bass and overall clarity.
The quietly sung introduction plays with just a hint of light background noise but the heart of the song explodes into sparkling sound quality with no groovewear distortion or background noise.
The 'B' side is equally impressive and there are of course no clicks, pops, jumps, repeats or any further faults or wear on this well looked after, seldom played copy.
