Beatles Nowhere Man Jukebox 45 Green Vinyl First Pancake RARE!

Vinyl---For those unfamiliar, real cooks throw out the first pancake in order to season the pan.  Baristas also do a test shot of espresso in order to cleanse the inner workings of any residual espresso cleaner.  Similarly, a first pancake of a 45 is an utter failure of the first copy pressed.  These are usually tossed in the trash, flash still attached and all.

This is a nice example, which has clearly defined areas in the vinyl where someone’s fingers pulled it off the plates.  The center hole is not punched.  The flash is still attached (excess vinyl that was squeezed out during pressing).  However, there are scuffs on each side, probably where other pieces of debris may have landed on top of the record in the trash can before it was retrieved.

A pretty cool piece of industry behind the scenes, which the public never gets to see.

Note:  All 45’s ship outside of their picture sleeves in plain white generic sleeves, in order not to damage the picture sleeves during shipment.
