Description
I’ve discovered some additional duplicates of Beatles solo Promo Vinyl, so please also check my other auctions for MORE BEATLES PROMO VINYL that may be of interest to you.
In this auction:
-
“UNCLE ALBERT/ADMIRAL HALSEY“ b/w “TOO MANY PEOPLE” by Paul & Linda McCartney
-
This is a PROMOTIONAL SINGLE has BOTH SIDES IN MONO (monaural). (The mono mixes of both songs were taken from the mono version of the “Ram” LP.)
-
It has TWO “A-SIDES” designated by the fact that both sides have uncut Apple labels. There is no sliced-Apple label used to designate the B-side.
-
This PROMOTIONAL SINGLE is Apple Records PRO - 6278 for the “UNCLE ALBERT/ADMIRAL HALSEY“ side and PRO – 6279 for the “TOO MANY PEOPLE” side.
-
As you probably know, PROMO RECORDS were released by record companies ONLY to the radio stations and DJs for airplay to promote the new LP and artist. They were NOT released or made available to the general public. They are especially desirable to vinyl collectors due to small quantities pressed and unavailability to the public.
-
Both labels have “PROMOTIONAL RECORD” and “NOT FOR SALE” printed on them.
-
Both labels also have (From the LP “RAM” SMAS-3375) printed on them.
-
This Promotional Record was issued in July of 1971.
-
It was pressed at Capitol Record’s Los Angeles Plant, because it has that plant’s identifying symbol, an asterisk (*), pressed into the trail-off vinyl.
-
The VINYL is in NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) CONDITION with just a few VERY LIGHT SURFACE hairlines/scuffs on both sides, and the vinyl is NICE AND GLOSSY!
-
An Apple Records stock sleeve with straight-cut top opening (East Coast sleeve used 1968 -1974) in Nice VG condition is included.
A VERY NICE Beatles-related Paul McCartney APPLE PROMO 45 RPM RECORD for YOUR vinyl collection!!!
