If you collect records or specifically Beatles and Beatles-related Apple records, YOU KNOW HOW RARE APPLE PROMO RECORDS ARE! And here’s a GREAT one in this auction!
In this auction:
· “HELEN WHEELS” by Paul McCartney & Wings
· This is Apple Records PRO - 6786.
· This is a PROMOTIONAL SINGLE with MONO on the A-side and STEREO on the B-side.
· As you may know, PROMO RECORDS were ONLY released to radio stations and DJs for airplay to promote the song, artist and new LP, so they were produced in VERY SMALL QUANTITIES. The LIMITED NUMBER OF THESE PRESSINGS and NOT AVAILABLE/SOLD TO THE PUBLIC have made them rare and very desirable to collectors.
· The labels state that this song is “from the LP ‘BAND ON THE RUN’ SO 3415’”.
· This record was issued in November of 1973.
· The VINYL on both sides is in NEAR MINT MINUS CONDITION. There are a couple of very light surface hairlines/scuffs. It has a slight warp that does not affect play at all. (I tracked it on my Technics turntable at ½ gram to be sure.) There are NO stickers, NO writing, and NO label tears often found from DJ use.
· An Apple Records stock sleeve is included.
