/ STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER
Original 45 w/ PICTURE SLEEVE
Here is a 7-inch 45 rpm vinyl record of The Beatles' "Penny Lane" and "Strawberry Fields Forever," first released on February 13 of 1967. George Martin had declared these songs as their two finest songs to date, thus this single was released as a "double-a sided" record. They were recorded during the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band sessions, but not released onto an album until the U.S. version of Magical Mystery Tour.
I acquired this as well as other records like these from a hardcore record collector who sold them when he hit hard times in 1993. It seems this individual rarely played his records, but just had them to have them. I've further aided their travel forward in time as I've had them safely put away for 14 years and am just getting around for selling them for your collecting here in the 21st-Century. The picture sleeve is in excellent condition, exhibiting only minor handling/storage wear and a some minor "ring effect" from the record. The vinyl 45 appears to have been handled or played, but it is very clean. Inside of the paper sleeve is a plastic sleeve. I don't know if that is original with the product or if the original collector added it, but it certainly helped keep the vinyl shiny.
