Description

Ultra-rare Beatles first album first pressing

PMC 1202

Matrix numbers are: YEX 421 -1 N AND YEX 422 -1 N

PLEASE PLEASE ME (First pressing, black & gold label, with "Dick James Mus. Co." publishing credit for "I Saw Her Standing There", "Misery", Do You Want To Know A Secret & "There's A Place"; "Made by Ernest J Day Ltd" sleeve with printers credit on right hand side rear of sleeve; Front photo credited to "Angus McBean" at bottom far right of front cover of sleeve less than 5mm from edge. "A" of Angus starting under second letter "S" in the word "songs" in the album title: large mono in top right corner. Research estimates that around 25,000 pressed).
The good news- this is a super-rare first pressing in mono of the Beatles' first album
The bad news- condition is only fair. (it conforms with the rare record price guide's description of fair: "
Description: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced."_

Mint versions of this go for £1,200 so according to the rare record price guide, in this condition it should fetch £180. I'm starting the bidding at £50.
