Beatles LP, 'Please Please Me Mono copy on the sought after Black and Gold label issued in 1963. I've sat and listened to the whole LP for the first time in years, and I can understand why this one is so sought after. The first track, 'I saw her standing there' just leaps out of the speakers with an amazing prescence and clarity, and this copy is only VG+! There is light crackling between tracks, but the music fully overwhelms any in the cuts. Both sides of the record have fine lines, but no jumps or loud clicks. Also, no real decline in sound quality, as this record has only ever been played with a decent stylus.

The labels are clean but displaying spindle lines - the gold print is still excellent. The cover isn't too bad for a 46 year old LP.The pictures will show the damaged RH lower corner and the piece of missing flap on the LH bottom corner. There are also a couple of creases on the LH lower front, and the bottom of the cover is split for two thirds from the front.Front picture and text on the rear are still bright and clean. All in all, not a bad copy at all, and a great listening experience awaits the buyer of this landmark LP.
I'll grade the cover as VG, considering the faults and the record at VG+ with surprising audio fidelity.Record will be well packed and must be sent via registered, insured post (at cost).
