Description
The Beatles - Please Please Me - Mono LP - Extremely Rare 1st Pressing
Genuine Black and Gold Parlophone Label - PMC 1202
This is a rare opportunity to bid for the now famous black and gold label 1st release of the Beatles first album Please Please Me.
The sleeve is the Ernest J Day model with the Angus McBean photo credit visible in the right hand corner.
The Dick James credits are found on both sides of the label.
The record plays all the way through, considering age the sound quality is of a good standard. There is one "jump" on track five, side one (Boys) , The sound is very clear, although there is a slight background crackle, which you are aware of between tracks. However it must be stressed that this does not distract from the overall enjoyment of this album.
As can be seen from the photos there is some wear and tear to the sleeve, consistent with the age of this record (some 45 years!). The record is in good condition (as graded by record collectors guide). The inner sleeve is the original "use emitex" version.
