The Beatles - Please Please Me
(Parlophone PMC 1202 UK LP 1963)
This is a 1963 UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve which has a large "Mono" on the front. It is printed by E.J. Day. It comes with its original polythene lined "Emitex" company inner sleeve.
The record has yellow & black "Parlophone" labels. These have "The Parlophone Co.." text. It has 1st press XEX 421-1N and XEX 422-1N matrix numbers. The mother stampers are AD 1 and AD 1 2.
This is the first UK pressing with yellow & black Parlophone labels. It still has the earliest matrix numbers & the labels do not have the "Recording First..." text. These are not that common.
Sleeve: There is a 10.5 cm split/ tear that runs along the top of the bottom flipback on the rear sleeve. There is a little bit of wear in this area to the flipback too. Otherwise light fading on the rear & some light ringwear. Apart from the split it looks VG+! Good++ condition.
Vinyl: There are some mild to more moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are quite a few light marks. The majority of these are quite small. Good condition. The labels are clean but show moderate spindle wear. Plays VG to VG+ overall. There is some light, or mild, crackle in some quieter places. The Emitex inner sleeve is in VG condition. There is a small tear at one corner.
Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
Postage for 1 LP in the UK is £4.50. You can add one extra LP for free (up to the weight of 1kg).
Postage for 1 LP in Europe is £6.65 to £7.85 (depending on weight). Add £1.25 for each additional LP up to 2kg.
Postage for 1 LP for the rest of the world is £7.75 to £11.50 (depending on weight). Add £2 for each additional LP up to 2kg.
Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £20. Overseas buyers will add £5.50 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
