UK 1964 EARLY '5th' *STEREO* PRESSING LP
On the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3042
Later '5th' pressings carried a significantly different text layout and were printed on matt paper. This early '5th' pressing used the same paper and design as 3rd & 4th pressings and were pressed in extremely limited quantities.
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' label text & 'Parlophone Co..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 2 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with the 'mid-sized' stereo logo.
Complete with original 'Use Emitex' poly-lined inner.

Visual: VERY GOOD
Both surfaces are clean and glossy but do bear some noticeable surface marks and the occaisional light scratch. Numerous sleeve removal hairlines are visible under halogen light but there are no deep or feelable scratches or other major faults.
Play: VERY GOOD
This copy has received frequent play but there is no major deterioration to the sound quality overall. Some light background is audible during some of the quieter passages and there are a few clicks between some tracks and at the beginning of 'Do You Want To Know A Secret'. However, there is no evidence of groovewear distortion in either channel and no jumps, repeats of any other major audible faults.
Cover:
EXCELLENT
A very respectable and clean example of this rare cover which bears a clean & glossy front laminate, displaying just a few light creases towards the opening edge but no other significant signs of wear. There is slight bruising to the corners but both opening edges are unworn & undamaged. The rear panel is clean with no writing, or missing paper. All the flipbacks are intact, both seams unsplit and the spine is fully & clearly worded.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
