Description
1970 US first pressing of the Hey Jude album with the rare 10” x 2” hype sticker. Has the original title of “The Beatles Again” on a darker green Apple label, along with the original catalog number of SO-385. Also has “Mfd. by Apple” on the sliced Apple side and “Bell Sound” stamped in the runout groove area. Spizer ID # is APP 385.SR1.
COVER:
Spizer ID # for the cover is APP 385.SC1. The hype sticker is adhered to the cover itself, under the shrink wrap - so it’s been nicely protected.
There’s a 1 1/2” split in the shrink along the bottom right edge, resulting in some minor wear on the bottom of the cover - it’s shown in the last picture. There’s also a 1/2” split in the shrink on the upper right corner - the shrink is othewise intact.
VINYL:
The vinyl still has its luster. There are a few light play scuffs, but no deep scratches. Some would probably grade it EXC/VG++ and it’s close. But I grade conservatively and I don’t want to over-promise, so I'm visually grading it as a strong, solid VG+ - I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
There is no writing, wear or stains on the labels and the spindle hole is clean, suggesting minimal play.

Bid with confidence - I was a serious Beatles collector for many years, and very picky about condition. So I grade carefully and accurately, I pack each item extremely well (just as I’d want to receive it) and I ship quickly (typically next business day after receiving payment).
Domestic shipping via USPS Media Mail (Sorry, I only ship to the lower 48 states). I’m happy to combine shipping upon request.
Please contact me if you have any questions about this item. Thanks for looking - Rick in TX
