Released in 1964 by Polydor UK - we have NEVER seen one like this before - may be it was meant to be a PROMO Disc. It is a 7" Vinyl Disc with a BLANK Orange POLYDOR label to Side 1 , printed POLYDOR to the top portion, and a BLANK Black label to the other. There are no titles, no catalogue numbers.
The disc plays ‘AIN’T SHE SWEET’ with the vocal by JOHN LENNON and Side 2 plays ‘IF YOU LOVE ME BABY’ with TONY SHERIDAN vocals.
Part of the print around the perimeter of the label reads ‘Mfd by Deutsche Gramoophon (Great Britain) Ltd’.
The machine stamped information in the trail out groove to side 1 is NH52317 A1 and Side 2: NH52317 B1.
The disc comes in its ORIGINAL Printed Polydor bag with 52317 hand written in ink to the top right hand corner.
The Polydor record label is in near mint condition as is the Vinyl disc. The Blank black label on side 2 is slightly rough.
Both sides of the disc plays EXTREMELY WELL throughout the tracks, with no skips or clicks.
As mentioned, we have NEVER seen one like this before. If anybody out there knows anything else about this disc, we would be happy for you to let us know!
