Description

I am selling off my father's record collection. He passed away in December last year. He was an avid collector, and these are the remnants of his collection. I am grading them by the Record Collector's Magazine guide. This album is in VERY GOOD condition, complete with ERNST J DAY COVER and ORIGINAL inner sleeve in GOOD condition due to slight splitting (see photo). The cover would be Excellent were it not for remnants of a sticker long since removed, seen in photo. The vinyl is in either EXCELLENT or VERY GOOD condition, I can not make my mind up, very subjective. Only between tracks can you hear a background crackle. KT tax code. Some history... Side 2 matrix no.: XEX 606-1 have “Remix 11? of “Tomorrow Never Knows”. When “Revolver” was initially mixed a different master for “Tomorrow Never Knows” was sent off to be pressed. This mix is known as ‘Remix 11?. Although subtle, it is different to the standard ‘Remix 8? which was ultimately to replace it. The story goes that each group member was given the first copies from the production line and John went to listen to it. But, it turned out that he was unhappy with the mix or that the wrong one had been used and he informed George Martin. Production was then stopped as the new masters were cut and the pressing plates were replaced. First presses have a side 2 matrix number of XEX 606-1 whereas the standard presses have XEX 606-2 and beyond. Side 1 - matrix XEX 605-2, stamper 5RM = very good Side 2 - matrix XEX 606-1, stamper 3AA = very good As I am not a professional tradesman, if following purchase you do not agree with grading, all records are returnable. To limit my cost exposure I will only refund item purchase price, not delivery postage. I hope thats ok. For album playlist and recording history, use google. All items posted will be re-inforced with cardboard inserts, and records mailed out of original inner-sleeves so as to not bust inner-sleeve edges during post. For items sold for value over £5, I will only offer recorded delivery. I can post Iin UK for £4.50 but this is not insured, at your risk. I recommend Special Delivery, at my risk.
