Description

The Beatles - Revolver

This exceptional copy of the Beatles' seventh studio album is a UK Stereo first pressing on the sought-after Yellow and Black Parlophone label.
The vinyl is housed within the original front-side laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flip-back sleeve which has a solid stereo aural signifier on the front cover. The sleeve is the first variant which incorrectly lists track 4 on side 2 as 'Dr. Robert'. Later corrected to read 'Doctor Robert'.
The first variant labels are evidenced by the use of the Times New Roman font, the position of 'North Songs' publishers credit below 'The Beatles' at the bottom of each label and the 'Dr. Robert' song title misprint on Side 2.
The album is complete with the original apple patents pending inner sleeve.

Serial number: PCS 7070
Matrix number: YEX 605 - 1 / YEX 606 - 1
Stamper codes: 3 RA / 3 AA
Vinyl Weight: 170g

Condition:

Vinyl: EXCELLENT

Labels: EXCELLENT
The labels are bright, clean and without writing. Only very light spindle marks can be seen to both sides.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
The vinyl exhibits deep-gloss playing surfaces which only show light paper scuffs in bright daylight. Underneath a halogen desk lamp mild residue from mildew can be seen alongside wispy hairline marks. A great example.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT
The audio is fantastic. This copy has clearly been cautiously played on good quality equipment. There is no sign of groove or play wear. There are quiet lead-ins to both sides and minimal static in between tracks. There is great channel separation, clear vocals and punchy bass. Superb!
Sleeve: MINT -
This as-new sleeve looks superb! The front retains a gloss sheen with bright colours. The rear is clean without any sign of discolouration or damage to flip-backs. All four corners are crisp and sharp. The opening and top and bottom edges along with the square spine are all without any wear. You will not need to look for another copy.
Inner Sleeve: EXCELLENT +
The original inner sleeve is in great condition. There is the unavoidable signs of subtle ring wear.  The vinyl is housed inside an audiophile quality, anti-static inner sleeve to help protect and preserve the record and inner sleeve.

The record will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer.

PLEASE NOTE: It has been pointed out to me by a generous eBay member that there is a mistake in the description. The labels are incorrectly characterised as the first variant. They are in fact variant 1.B in which the Dr. Robert misprint (present of variation 1.A) was corrected to read 'Doctor Robert'. The font on both variant 1.A and 1.B was sans serif and not Times New Roman. The labels are characterised as different forms of the same variant as side 1 on variation 1.A and 1.B are identical. I blame a lack of caffeine and World Cup excitement. Apologies for any confusion.
