Visually the vinyl has a decent amount of surface wear. There are a fair few spindle trails and marks on the labels of both sides and it's pretty clear that this record was played a lot back in it's day. The audio grading overall is Good + but no higher; there is apparent hiss / crackle that gets louder on some tracks and is more subdued on others, some occasional ticks and pops but mainly just the surface noise. Surprisingly there's little to no inner groove wear as those tracks still sound very nice on my system and despite the surface noise, the audio quality is still very strong overall.
The track that matters the most, "Tomorrow Never Knows", actually plays surprisingly well in comparison to some of the other tracks and if you sum your cartridge to mono, you can eliminate a lot of the surface noise and it overall sounds rather enjoyable. The vinyl does have a visible storage warp to it but on my system, it doesn't affect the sound in any way.
Please note your results with this may vary and I have play-graded this in stereo to avoid disappointment. Summing your cartridge to mono will improve the sound, and it does a fair bit with this record. I've added links below to listen to this record to judge for yourself as the grading is ultimately subjective, after all. This copy does crackle and sometimes rather loudly too, but I don't think it's as worn as you'd generally expect.
Please note that my camera does not pick up the condition of the record surfaces as well as I'd like it to, the record visually isn't mint; It's in an alright but worn shape and I've definitely handled worse before.
The original, rarer Ernest J. Day flipback cover is in Very Good - condition. It's holding together quite well with no tears or splits but there's some apparent yellowing and wear to the back panel, plus some spots of wear on the edges and openings. It still feels good in the hand and it's nice to look at but it still has aged and it's not minty fresh.
Comes with a generic paper inner sleeve from the era which has yellowed and has a seam split on the bottom; overall it does a good enough job of keeping the record surfaces safe but I'd recommend replacing it. I'd have done so myself but I currently don't have any spares.
This record is definitely more of a collection filler as it does show it's wear quite clearly, however for people interested in buying purely for the unreleased mix of "Tomorrow Never Knows", you might be pleasantly surprised.
