1966 UK 1st PRESS *MONO* LP
**RARE XEX 606-1 EX+ COPY'**
This pressing includes the alternate 'remix 11' take of 'Tomorrow Never Knows' only available on these XEX 606-1 matrix mono pressings.
This rare 1966 UK 1st mono pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7009
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
Label 2 carries the Dr. Robert' spelling.
A 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.
Housed in a rarer front laminated, tri-flipback 'E. J. Day' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original plain white inner-sleeve.

Both surfaces retain their deep gloss finish, and bear no significant marks or wear when viewed in strong daylight.
Careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals nothing more than a few faint paper/inner sleeve removal hairlines & a bright 'rainbow' shine.
There are no significant marks scuffs or any scratches on either side of this fine copy.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS
It's so hard to find a nice sounding, unworn copy of this LP, and this one does not disappoint in any way.
Listening to an undistorted 'Taxman' from the silent run-in, it is clear that this copy has recieved only seldom & careful play on top quality equipment.
There is no evidence peakwear distortion or any background crackle in either channel on any track.
Even the easily and most frequently damaged 'Eleanor Rigby' and 'Here There & Everywhere' play perfectly without crackle or groovewear.
All bands play without intereference and there are no clicks, pops, jumps or any other audible faults anywhere.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A clean, white & unyellowed front panel bearing just two light spine creases & a single 'thumbnail' but no other creasing or wear.
All the corners are square, clean & unbumped and both opening edges are clean & sharp with no tears or feathering.
The rear panel is clean and unworn with just some minor discolouration on John's shirt near the opening edge, but no marks, writing or missing paper.
The original retailer's label is adhered towards the upper edge, but all flipbacks, seams & the spine are intact & undamaged.
One of the best copies I have seen in a very long time.
Both discs have been carefully audibly graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck fitted with a Shelter 901 cartridge.
