1966 UK 1st PRESS *MONO* LP
**XEX 606-1**
This very first pressing contains 'remix 11' version of 'Tomorrow Never Knows'.
To date, this version is only available on these early pressings with a XEX 606-1 side 2 matrix
This excellent & rare 1966 UK 1st mono pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7009
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
The side 2 label carries the incorrect 'Dr. Robert' spelling.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with the small mono logo.
Complete with its original white 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve.

Both sides are extremely clean, bright & glossy with no groove-whitening or dulling to the surfaces from improper long-term storage.
Side 1 displays a single light fingernail mark and small hairline scratch on the first groove of the 1st track, but no other marks or wear.
Side 2 again bears just a single, albeit longer, light fingernail scuff which is not feelble or audible. There are no other marks or wear.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals nothing more than a few wispy sleeve removal/paper hairlines.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT
Carefully played on good quality equipment, the sound is clear & clean throughout, without any of the usual groove-damage associated with this disc.
All tracks - even the easily damaged 'Eleanor Rigby' & 'Here There & Everywhere' - play without background noise or groovewear distotion.
Aside from a few light ticks on the side 1 run-in, there are no further significant or major traces of audible wear anywhere.
Hard to find a better sounding copy.
Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS
A clean, unyellowed example with an undamaged front panel which bears just 2 light spine bends but no heavy wear or creasing.
The corners display slight rubbing and there is minor wear to the rear opening edge but the front edge remains clean & sharp.
The rear panel has a few light creases and minor storagewear, but is free from any writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks, seams and the spine are intact & undamaged.
This disc has been carefully audibly graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck fitted with a Shelter 901 cartridge.
