1966 UK 1st PRESS *STEREO* LP

**NEAR MINT**

This superb 1966 UK 1st STEREO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 7009
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
The side 2 label carries the 'Doctor Robert' spelling.
The 'KT' tax/price code is also visible on the side 2 label.

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' stereo cover.
Complete with its original white 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: YEX 605-1 & YEX 606-1
Stamper numbers: 2/RO & 3/RR

Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS

Extremely bright & glossy when viewed in strong daylight, with no groove-whitening or dulling to either surface from improper long-term storage.
Apart from two faint fingernail marks on side 1, both surfaces are pristine and appear totally 'as new'.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals a few barely visible wispy inner-sleeve removal hairlines but no further wear.

Audio: NEAR MINT

This disc has clearly received just a few careful plays on top quality equipment only.
All songs play cleanly & clearly, without any trace of any background noise or groovewear distortion.
Even the easily damaged 'Eleanor Rigby' & 'Here, There & Everywhere' play cleanly & clearly with no break-up or wear.
Apart from a single light 'tick' between track 1 & 2 on side 1, all bands play & both run-ins play silently.
There are no further audible faults or wear anywhere.

An outstanding example with a completely pristine white & unyellowed front panel which bears an unscratched, high-gloss lamimate.
Apart from a single tiny spine wrinkle, there are is no creases of even any 'thumbnails' anywhere.
All corners are perfectly clean, square and unbumped and both opening edges are clean, sharp & unworn.
The rear panel is clean & black where it should be with no ringwear, writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks, both seams and the spine are in perfect condition.
Hard to find a better example.
