THE BEATLES - 'REVOLVER'
1966 UK 1st *STEREO* PRESSING LP
**NEAR MINT**
This superb UK 1966 1st STEREO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 7009
Both labels carry both the 'Sold in UK..' texts & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
The side 2 label has the initial, incorrect 'Dr. Robert' spelling.
An 'KT' tax/price code is embossed in the centre of the side 2 label.
Housed in a MINT front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse printed cover with an a front 'stereo' logo.
This copy was originally purchased outside the UK and the cover is still encased in its original shop shrinkwrapping.
Complete with its original plain white 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 605-1 & YEX 606-1
Stamper numbers: 2/GL & 2/L
Disc weight: 165g
Labels: EXCELLENT PLUS
A 1st class set with just a few tiny, light spindle trails to each hole but no other wear.
The silver centre markers are just visible around edge of each hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS
Both surfaces of this outstanding copy retain all of their deep-gloss 'as new' shine, with no clouded or dull patches.
Close inspection in strong daylight reveals some faint marks from inner-sleeve removal but no further significant blemishes or any scratches.
Close & careful examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp shows nothing more than a sparkling rainbow gloss but no further signs of wear.
This quality, heavy copy lies 100% flat on the turntable with no signs or dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS
This copy has received just a few extremely careful plays top quality equipment & plays throughout with no groovewear distortion or background noise.
I would have graded 'NEAR MINT' if it were not for a 4 revolution light tick on 'Here, There & Everywhere', which appears to be caused by a tiny 'pinprick' sized pit in the vinyl.
However, all else plays 'as new ' and even the most fragile parts such as 'Eleanor Rigby' and the introduction to 'Love You Too' are unworn and a joy to hear.
Both run-ins & all bands play extremely quietly and there are no clicks, pops or any other interference.
Hard to find better.
Cover: MINT
Never have I seen, or offered such a perfect example. This truely is in 'shop-new' condition.
The shrinkwrapping has preserved all aspects of this cover perfectly and protected both panels from any storagewear or light damage.
The front panel is pristine white and uncreased with all corners in perfectly clean and square with no bumps or bruises whatsoever.
Both opening edges are perfectly sharp and straight and the rear panel is immaculate with perfect corners and flipbacks
The spine is totally unbent and again in perfect 'as new' condition.
I cannot stress enough how fine this cover is. It really is a museum piece which would be impossible to upgrade.
Inner-sleeve: NEAR MINT
Clean & white with no discolouration, splits, tears or writing.
