In this auction:


  • “BEAUCOUPS OF BLUES” b/w “COOCHY COOCHY” by Ringo Starr

  • This is Apple Records 2969.

  • This is a WEST COAST PICTURE SLEEVE that was issued with the CORRECT CATALOG NUMBER, 2969, printed on it. (East Coast picture sleeves were printed and issued with the INCORRECT CATALOG NUMBER 1826.)

  • This West Coast picture sleeve, printed with the correct catalog number, has a HIGHER VALUE than the East Coast picture sleeve printed with the incorrrect catalog number.

  • This record and picture sleeve were released October 5, 1970.

  • The PICTURE SLEEVE is in VERY NICE VG to WEAK VG+ CONDITION. The “flap” (the extension of one of the slicks at the top opening) has some small and light folds and creases. The number “3” is written VERY LIGHTLY in ballpoint near the top left corner on the A-side of the sleeve. There are NO SEAM SPLITS, NO TEARS, NO STICKERS, NO STAPLE/PIN HOLES and NO RING WEAR on this picture sleeve.

  • The VINYL is in NEAR MINT (NM) CONDITION with LOTS OF GLOSS.

  • The VINYL was pressed at Capitol’s Los Angeles plant confirmed by the BLACK STAR on the A-side label and an ASTERISK (*) in the trail-off wax.

  • THEREFORE, this West Coast Picture Sleeve is properly matched to West Coast vinyl.

  • But, whether its the East Coast or West Coast picure sleeve, this is really one of the tougher Apple picture sleeve to find these days!


    It’s a NICE COPY of this APPLE RECORDS PICTURE SLEEVE with the correct catalog number for someone’s Beatles vinyl collection!
