Description
The time has come for me to part with my 50 year old Beatles collection. This collection consists of LP's, 45's, picture sleeves, EP's, 12" singles, picture discs, sealed LP's, test pressings, acetates, promos, box sets, and CD's from the US and the UK. The collection also includes vinyl and CD's from John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Apple artists. There are numerous rarities in this collection. The vast majority of the vinyl is in NM- to NM condition; I tried not to acquire anything with a grade below that, or attempted to upgrade, although a few of the extremely hard to find items I was unable to upgrade and will have a grade below that. If you are a Beatles collector, be sure to bookmark me as the vinyl I'll be listing will surely be of interest. Here we go; a splendid time is guaranteed for all
Ringo Starr-"Ringo" LP, Apple SWAL-3413, pressed in 1973. This is a very scarce test pressing. These were pressed in very limited quantities to test the quality of the recording and were never released to the general public. Paper taped to the front cover and writing on the labels show they were still in the process of selecting the order of the songs. It does correspond to the order of the regular release. As this was a very early pressing, it also has the "long version" of the Paul McCartney track "Six O'Clock" which was withdrawn before it was properly released. I have listened to it and it is the "long version" (you can also tell without listening as this version will be the longest track on side 2). Vinyl, VISUALLY graded by Goldmine standards, is in VG+ condition on side one and VG- condition on side two. For some reason "Oh My My" is very scratched up and skips in a few spots ( I tried to show it in a picture). The rest of this side is VG. There is an additional scratch that goes through part of this side, including "Six O'clock", but I spot checked it and it caused no problems with play on my player. As shown there is writing on both LP labels. The white sleeve is generic with the paper taped to the front. There is no booklet included. Very rare piece of Ringo vinyl, impossible to find in any condition.
