1965 UK 1st MONO PRESSING LP
*XEX 579-1 & XEX 580-1*
**WITH 'E.J.DAY' COVER**
Often referred to as the 'loud cut' version, this early pressing does sound different to later '-4/-5' cuts, but just with more compression added.
This superb 1965 first mono pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1267
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text and 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the centre of the side 1 label.
Housed in the rarer front laminated, 'tri-flipback' E.J. Day cover.
Complete with its original lined 'Use Emitex inner-sleeve.

A superb, well looked after copy with extremely clean, bright and glossy surfaces undulled by careless handling or overplay.
Inspection under under a halogen desk lamp reveals only a few very feint sleeve removal hairlines but no scuff, scratches or other marks whatsoever.
Beautiful thick, heavy vinyl which lies 100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT
A special sounding record which has clearly been only rarely played.
Apart from a hint of wear on 'Michelle' all tracks play without any crackle or groovewear 'loud passage' distortion in either channel.
Both run-ins and bands play extremely quietly with minimal interference but no hiss, clicks, pops, jumps, repeats anywhere.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A fine example of this rare cover retaining its high-gloss laminate which bearing just a few light creases to the edges and one tiny 'thumbnail'.
The opening edges and corners are clean and sharp displaying just extremely light touches of wear but no 'bumps', tears or 'feathering'.
The rear panel is in fine condition; clean, bright and white with no age discolouration, marks or writing.
The spine is clean and readable and all seams and 'flipbacks' are strong and undamaged with no missing laminate or paper.
