THE BEATLES
'RUBBER SOUL'
An extremely small quantity of covers for this album were produced in 1968 (possibly for export only) with black or silver stereo logos on the front cover.
Here is a rare opportunity to acquire such an example with a solid black 'stereo' logo in the upper right corner of the front panel.

On the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3075
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & have 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible in the centre of the side 1 label.
Housed in the rarer front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with a solid black stereo logo on the front panel in the upper right corner.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 178-3 & YEX 179-3
Stamper numbers: 2/GP & 2/GA
Disc weight: 165g

Visual: VERY GOOD +
Both surfaces of this heavy copy are clean & glossy and apart from a faint, non-feelable surface line on side 2 are unmarked in strong daylight. Close & careful examination directly under my halogen desk lamp reveals just some wispy hairlines and insignificant inner-sleeve removal marks but no major faults on either side. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no traces of dishing or warping.
Play: EXCELLENT
This copy has received just a moderate amount of careful play and plays with no significant deterioration to the sound quality. In fact, apart from a few light clicks on the fade of 'Drive My Car', there are no major audible audible faults on the entire LP which plays without any groovewear distortion or background noise.
Cover
VERY GOOD
This respectable example which a bright and clean front panel with just some light handling & storagewear. Some tape has been removed from the lower edge and some dried residue is still present but there isno missing laminate of paper. The stereo logo on the front panel is clean & undamaged. As you can see, the rear panel has the remains of some tape to its lower section and flipback but it is otherwise clean with no writing or missing paper. The lower seam has some minor damage but all seams and the spine are unsplit and unstressed.
Tough to find in any condition!

EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with just minor storagewear but no seam splits, tears or writing.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
