1968 UK 2nd PRESS *STEREO* LP
**SILVER FRONT COVER LOGO**
Produced for export/experimental purposes only, these covers with the 'silver' stereo front logo were produced in tiny quantites.
This rarer 1968 UK 2nd stereo pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3075
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
The rare 'KJT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' 'silver' stereo logo cover.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 178-3 & YEX 179-3

Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS
Extremely clean & glossy surfaces in stong daylight which bear just a single stylus hairline on side 2, but no other marks or scratches.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals some inner-sleeve removal paper hairlines but no further wear.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This superb sounding disc has been barely played.
All songs play perfectly cleanly & clearly, without any trace of any background noise or groovewear distortion.
Both run-ins and all bands play silently & there are no clicks, jumps or any other audible faults.
Cover: VERY GOOD PLUS
This rare example displays some light handling and storagewear but no major faults.
The front panel is very clean bearing only a few light creases & 'thumbnails' to the laminate, but no serious wear.
The corners have some minor rubbing & the rear opening edge has a tiny 2mm tear but the front edge is clean & undamaged.
The rear panel is clean & white with a few tiny age-spots towards the lower left corner, but no writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks, both seams and the spine are all clean & undamaged.
Hard to find in any condition.
This disc has been carefully audibly graded in its entirety on a Rega P9 deck fitted with a Shelter 901 cartridge.
