Notes Rarer first matrices indicating the 'loud cut' mixA nice example of The Beatles' 1965 LP 'Rubber Soul'. What makes this copy special are the matrix numbers ending in -1 / -1 on both sides. This is the early 'loud cut' copy that was allegedly found to be too loud and distorted on some record players in the 1960s. Overall the condition isn't too bad and would make a nice addition to a collection.
Vinyl Visual: Very Good
No feelable marks or scratches but there are a number of light scuffs and marks on both sides of the vinyl. The labels are clean with only light spindle wear and light spindle scratching.
Vinyl Audio: VG+
Conservatively graded at VG+, this is a very clean sounding example. There is minimal crackle and distortion, only slight noise throughout but certainly not distracting at all - this would make an excellent play copy. Quiet between tracks, no skips or jumps.
Sleeve: Very Good
The flipback G&L sleeve is in pretty clean condition with no rips or tears on the rear or on the laminate. There is some creasing overall here and there but nothing serious. The spine is solid and not flattened. The rear is lightly browned but displays no marks and the opening mouth has only softened slightly.
Inner Sleeve: Good+
Original Emitex lined inner in decent condition. One side has a split toward the middle and there is a 'reject' stamp on one side.
