Description

Up for bid here is the Holy Grail of Beatle & Lp collectors, the rare Butcher Cover Stereo 2nd state! Original 1966 paste over was found for a CD price in a thrift shop about a decade or so ago and is the Crown Jewel of my coveted vinyl collection. I wish to pass it on to a better home.
An unusual feature of this particular album is that it is a punched-hole cut-out and was probably sold at a discount. A rare find for whoever bought it cheap decades ago for 2 - 3$. The cover is clean and glossy with a small strip of ring ware at the bottom. The back shows minor dirt from sliding between other records but ink loss is minimal. I would say it's in a (conservative) VG+ condition maybe VG++ if not for the punched hole which I assume would degrade its value. There is a 2" split near the bottom opening and a small tear (pictured) which allows you to view a small bit the blue-grey butcher pasted underneath. The sleeve is the original orange Capitol ad type which also got punched. The  record is glossy & clean VG with 2 scratches or so and plays well with no skips.
Because of it's value I will send it to the winning bidder USPS insured and signature confirmed. No returns except that it's guaranteed to be the genuine item.

Edit: I recently played the LP and there is some crackle in the silent space between songs on some of the tracks. Plus there is a short click on "Nowhere Man". I should also mention a pin hole near the top and some ink loss near Ringo's hand. Please review all photo's very carefully before bidding! PayPal only please!
