Description
This is a very rare 3 & 3/4 ips four track STEREO reel-to-reel tape from 1967 (TD-PCS 7027) Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band - The Beatles’ ninth album. I have checked it on a reel-to-reel player and it plays as new - no snaps, repairs or stretches. The tape is on the original 4 inch EMITAPE reel which has clearly been well looked-after - it still has the Emitape centre labels on both sides. It's in the original plastic box which is in excellent condition. There are no splits, cracks and only a couple of small scratches , the worst of which I have highlighted on the photo. Please be aware that the vertical lines seen on the box in the photo are in fact a reflection of the roof where I took the photo. The original leader tape at both ends is intact and full length. The inner sleeve has small splits where the box closes (not uncommon with this type of box) but there are no tears, no writing, and it is in great condition. All-in-all, this is an excellent specimen of this rare album.
In case you can't remember, the tracks on the album are:
SIDE ONE: Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band; With A Little Help From My Friends; Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds; Getting Better; Fixing A Hole; She's Leaving Home; and Being For The Benefit Of Mr Kite!
SIDE TWO: Within You Without You; When I'm Sixty-Four; Lovely Rita; Good Morning Good Morning; Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise); and A Day In The Life.
The opening price for this tape is a BARGAIN if it stays at that (check out http://www.leninimports.com/beatles_reel.html#bssingles ). I put Beatles reel-to-reel tapes on eBay whenever I can get hold of them. If you are a fan or a collector, it might be worth your while checking out my feedback and adding me to your favourites.
