This well-preserved UK 1st pressing dates from initial February 1967 release on the black & silver Parlophone label: R 5570
The 'KT' purchase tax code in the center of the 'Strawberry Fields Forever' label & in both run-outs.
Matrices: 7XCE 18415-1 & 7XCE 18416-2
Stamper codes: 2/MM & 1/AP
Housed in its original limited-edition, thin paper picture sleeve.
CONDITION
Labels: MINT -
A superb set showing no more than one or two tiny spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: MINT -
Factory-fresh deep-gloss playing surfaces which apart from a faint thin scuff line on 'Strawberry Fields Forever' side are 'as new' both in strong daylight AND directly beneath halogen light.
Audio: MINT -
Played just once or twice at most, there is little to fault on this disc. A touch of vinyl background is audible on the introduction to 'Strawberry Fields Forever' but both sides otherwise play without fault.
Cover: EXCELLENT
Given its fragility and cheap paper stock used, this is a highly respectable example with a few light storage bends and just couple of tiny age-spots on the top opening edge but no writing, tears or seam splits.
