Description
This is a potential bargain for Beatles music & memorabilia collectors, a fantastic classic Beatles album made in 1968.
I'm selling my vinyl collection as I can no longer play the records.
I bought this copy in 1971 when I paid £6.70 for it - the original HMV Store label is on the cellophane cover!
I didn't play the album a lot and it has been protected in a plastic sleeve and stored upright in a cabinet in a cool loft. In addition the original cellophane cover was never removed so the cover is in very good condition - no discoloration despite its age and only minor signs of pinching on leading edges where the plastic cover has bent it slightly. The inner paper sleeves are in excellent, clean condition. It also has the original photos of John, Paul, George & Ringo plus the poster/lyric sheet. The photos are in excellent condition, no bending or blemishes. The only wear what-so-ever is where the poster/lyric sheet folds which is unavoidable and is very minor.
It hasn't been played for years and I can't test it now but there is no dishing or warping and I cannot find any scratches on either disc. The centre rings and labels are perfect - no wear at all. Overall it looks excellent to me.
The number on the label is PCS 7068 and the number etched into the gutter around the label is YEX 712-1.
