Description

The Beatles - White Album

(Apple PCS 7067-68 UK Double LP 1968)

This is a UK original Stereo Double LP pressing. It has a fully laminated, Top Opening, gatefold sleeve which has inner flipbacks. The lettering is embossed on the front & it is numbered (No: 0388253) on the front also. It comes with its original plain black paper "Apple" inner sleeves. It comes complete with its original fold-out Picture/ Lyric Poster. It also comes with all 4 Portrait Photos. It even has its original plain paper spacer too.

The records have dark green "Apple" labels which have the "Sold in UK..." text on all 4 labels. The matrix numbers & mother stampers are as follows:

Side 1: YEX 709-1 (GDO 2)
Side 2: YEX 710-1 (GAG 4)
Side 3: YEX 711-1 (GOR 3)
Side 4: YEX 712-1 (GAP 7)

A genuine UK 1st press double Stereo LP. It has the earliest matrix numbers & is totally complete with inners & inserts. It is a very reasonable audio copy too.

Gatefold Sleeve: There is some light or very mild rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is some light overall fading to the "white" of the sleeve. There is some light or very minor ringwear. VG++ condition

Vinyl 1: There are some light, mild or more moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are about 4-5 very light hairline marks. they measure from 5 cm to 9 cm. VG- condition. The labels are in VG++ condition & show mild to more moderate spindle wear only. The plain black company inner sleeve is in VG++ condition. There is some light or mild ringwear & creasing. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays VG+ to Near Excellent overall, & Excellent in some places. There is some light or very mild crackle in a few quieter places.

Vinyl 2: There is a small pin-head sized blob/ mark at the start of the 2nd song on Side 4 "Honey Pie". It does feel to the touch. This causes approx 7-8 mild to more moderate clicks (approx 16 seconds). It does not jump on my system. Otherwise, there are some light or mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are about 4 very light hairline marks. they measure from 4 cm to 11 cm. VG- condition. The labels are in VG++ condition & show mild to more moderate spindle wear only. The plain black company inner sleeve is in VG+ condition. There is a 4 cm seam split at the bottom centre only. Otherwise, light or mild ringwear & creasing.

I have fully play tested this LP. Apart from the aforementioned clicks near the start of "Honey Pie", It plays VG+ to Near Excellent overall. There are some intermittent light clicks near the start of "Revolution No. 9" too. It doesn't last too long. Otherwise, there is some light or very mild crackle in a few quieter places.

The Fold-Out Poster is in  VG+ condition. It has some handling creases & marks. It has no seam splits. All 4 Portrait Photos are in Near Excellent to Excellent condition. The paper spacer is in VG++ condition.

I shall place both records in a separate plain paper inner sleeve to protect the original inner sleeves from any damage during transit.

Traceable insurance is already included in the stated P&P price for this listing.
