Labels: Disc 1: EXCELLENT  Disc 1. EXCELLENT +

All are clean & bright with just a small blemish to the Apple stalk on label 1. However there are no marks or wear on any of the others.

Visual: (Both discs) EXCELLENT +

Both discs are extremely bright and clean and all sides retain their 'as new' deep-gloss shines with no groove-whitening or dulling to any surface. Both sides of the first disc appear immaculate at first glance, displaying just a few faint inner-sleeve removal marks when viewed in strong direct daylight. Inspection beneath my halogen desk lamp reveals nothing more than a few inevitable wispy paper hairlines but no other signs of wear.

Audio: Both discs: EXCELLENT +

Both of these impressive discs have received just some extremely careful play on top-quality equipment and play cleanly & clearly throughout with no trace of groovewear distortion on any track or in either channel. Nor is there any background noise/crackle to any part or any song. The usually overplayed disc 1 plays perfectly throughout. There is not even any wear to the exposed introduction of 'Dear Prudence' or 'Martha My Dear'. Even 'Blackbird' and 'Julia' play 'as new' with no ticks, clicks or pops anywhere. Disc two is a joy from start to finish with no wear or faults to any song on either side. Hard to find a better or earlier pair than these.

EXCELLENT +

A superb strong & thick card example which still retains and excellent 'whiteness' inside & out. The front panel is in first class condition and retains an undamaged, unscratched high-gloss laminate with no indentation lines or any creasing of any sort. The raised wording is totally intact & completely unsplit and the number clean and bold. All corners are perfectly clean, square & unbumped and all top-opening edges are unmarked, sharp and undamaged. The rear panel with its clear 'stereo' logo is as impressive as the front with just a light crease towards the upper spine area but no other significant signs of wear. The inside of the gatefold is pristine and has probably never been fully opened. The spine is straight and unsquashed with some splitting to the laminate. However the 'The Beatles' wording is fully covered and the remainder of the text is clear and readable. All seams are strong, unstressed & unsplit.

Photos: EXCELLENT

Apart from some creasing to the corners of John & Ringo, all are 'as new'.

Spacer: EXCELLENT +

A few faint handling wrinkles but otherwise undamaged.

Poster: VERY GOOD

 General handling wear but unhung with no tears or splits to any fold.

Inner-sleeves: VERY GOOD

Both are clean & flat but have some tears to the top-opening edges. However both centre holes are undamaged and all seams are unsplit.
